White Birch Bowl from Acorn Wood Turning

This 8” bowl was “once” turned from a portion of aged white birch log. The woodworker explains that, "Once turning means a bowl was finished before the moisture had equalized. This creates a light oval shape as the wood dries. The heartwood is free of spalting which yielded a pattern that resembles the sun."
