Author Edward I. Pitts, Rap-Shaw Club President from 2011 to 2016, presents the history of the Rap-Shaw Club, one of only a handful of surviving 19th century Adirondack outdoor clubs. It has outlived all the early settlements of this area in the west-central Adirondacks. The author presents an epic tale of adventure, wilderness recreation, and the work required to build and maintain a voluntary organization through the decades.
