Artist Peter Katz works with light birch wood to create lamps that are works of art. He calls this one "Drifting Boat" which features a hand-drawn design of a boat surrounded by water. The design is laser-cut into the lamp’s four 1/8”-thick panels; the blue background is glued to the reverse of the panel. The custom-designed joinery requires no glue or other fasteners.
