The most recent work of award-winning Adirondack author Lorraine Duvall explores the journey of 7 courageous women who, in 1974, left behind the life they knew and created a commune deep in the Adirondack Mountains called "A Woman's Place." For the next 8 years, A Woman's Place served as a harbor for discovery and changed the lives of hundreds of women. 

The author attended a retreat there in the first year of the commune and has thoroughly researched the history of  A Woman's Place reaching out to the founder and the many other women whose lives were touched.
